till · end-of-day

Clean reconcile, one button.

Sales, tips, refunds, card, cash, deposits. The till ties them together at the close. Match-or-explain nudges the discrepancybefore you leave for the night, not the following Tuesday when it's ten times harder to remember.

match-or-explain

If it doesn't balance, tell me why.

The expected number for cash is the sales total minus card minus deposits taken minus refunds. If the cash drawer count doesn't match, the till asks for a one-line reason before it lets you close. Five seconds now, hours saved later.

  1. Pre-filled expected total.

The till knows what the cash drawer should hold. You count, you confirm, you move on.

  2. Discrepancy needs a note.

"£5 short, accidental cash refund to walk-in" is enough. The note travels with the close to the accountant.

  3. Repeated discrepancies surface.

If the cash drawer is consistently short, the owner sees it, the till doesn't bury it.

z-report, automatic

The end-of-day, in 90 seconds.

Hit close. The till writes a Z-report against the day, tags it by payment method and stylist, and emails it to the owner and the accountant. No re-typing into a spreadsheet, no "who took the £40 cash this morning" two days later.

  1. By stylist, by service, by method.

Three pivots on the same close, ready for the team page and the payouts.

  2. Auto-emailed to the accountant.

Set the recipient once, the Z-report lands at 23:00 every trading day.

  3. Categories match HMRC, not us.

Service revenue, retail revenue, refunds, deposits, tips, each on its own line.
